Ganymed in Sagittarius
The One Who Was Chosen in Sagittarius

Ganymed is the part of you that gets picked out of the crowd for how you look and carry yourself. Where this asteroid sits is where doors open before you have said anything — where your height, your face, your bearing does the first half of the work, and where you quietly resent that it does. The gift is access most people never get. The cost is never being sure whether you were chosen for what you can do or for how you look doing it. Ganymed asks you to become good enough that the answer stops mattering.

In fire, your presence enters the room ahead of you and you enjoy it. The risk is performing the entrance and skipping the work.

In mutable mode, you move between rooms and benefactors, and never quite settle into your own name.

In Sagittarius this point keeps an eye on the exit. The moment being singled out for your looks, your height and the way you carry yourself starts to feel like a fixed arrangement, Ganymed begins insisting the real version is somewhere else. You call it optimism, and sometimes it is. Sometimes it is a refusal to be held. The pattern to watch here is how often you leave right before the part where it would have gotten good.

You are visible in a way you did not ask for and cannot switch off. People notice you before you speak — your height, your bearing, the way you take up space — and it opens doors that stay shut for others. Used well, this is a shortcut you can spend on things that matter: the meeting you should not have been in, the room where the decision happens.

Filtered through Sagittarius, that gift shows up as adventurous, optimistic, philosophical — and it is most obvious to the people who watch you handle being singled out for your looks, your height and the way you carry yourself when you think nobody is measuring.

You are never sure whether you were chosen for what you can do or for how you look doing it, and that doubt makes you either coast on the advantage or refuse it entirely. Both are wasteful. The deeper wound is having been picked up by someone powerful and carried somewhere you did not choose, and calling it luck ever since.

Sagittarius adds its own version of the cost: restlessness and bluntness that can unintentionally wound. In this part of your chart that is not a personality quirk — it is the specific way Ganymed goes wrong for you, and it will keep repeating until you name it as yours instead of theirs.

Ganymed fires when someone with power takes an interest in you — a mentor, a scout, an employer — and the interest is not entirely professional.

The work is becoming so good that being chosen stops being the story. Take the access and build something with it that nobody could have handed you.
